Tender Details : Douglas Shire Council (DSC) is seeking the completion of inlet upgrade works at the Port Douglas Wastewater Treatment Plant (PDWWTP). which is located at Port Road, Port Douglas QLD 4870, approximately one hour north of Cairns. The current inlet equipment has been unreliable, and DSC aims to improve performance by installing more efficient equipment.
The project involves removing the existing equipment and supplying and installing new components, including a coarse screen, wash press, stopboards, and channel modifications. Additionally, the project will include programming, testing, and commissioning the new equipment, with a proven performance period expected during the commissioning phase.
The contractor is encouraged to propose alternative solutions if they can demonstrate a more suitable option. Any alternatives should consider reliability, lifecycle, and cost-effectiveness in comparison to the initially proposed solution.
