Please download the Request for Quotation documentation for full scope.The current Buildings were built in the 1940’s & 1950’s.The Red Cross building may contain asbestos in the Verandah sheeting, eave sheets as well as in the panelling in the kitchen. The building consists of a tile roof with timber framing and timber cladding. Subfloor is timber with concrete piers, the building has sections of concrete (stairs and Ramp) that will require removal.The Tennis club may contain asbestos in the Verandah sheeting, eave sheeting as well as panelling in the Kitchen and Laundry area. The building has metal roofing with timber framing and cladding. The sub floor is timber except for the laundry area which is concrete.Due to the Heritage and Community Interest in these buildings, Council are offering for them to be removed from the site as a preference over demolition. All asbestos needs to be removed and clearance certificate provided prior to removal or any works. Any approvals for the placement of the buildings in their new locations are the responsibility of the contractor.
