Description The Take-Home Program aims to reduce opioid overdose-related morbidity and mortality by removing barriers to access experienced by people in the community who may have limited engagement with health services. In April 2024, the Victorian government announced that it would trial 20 naloxone vending machines, located and managed by existing needle and syringe programs, so that this medicine can be more easily accessed at any time of day to help people in a life-or-death emergency.
