Description The Nature Parks is looking to appoint a suitably qualified, renowned coastal contractor to mitigate coastal hazards through sand nourishment. Using the 'back-passing' technique, this contractor will relocate sand from east to west, countering natural sand transport. This process aims to widen the beach profile above sea level, facilitating penguin movement along the shoreline. Careful consideration of 'borrow' and 'placement' areas minimises environmental impact while maximising nourishment effectiveness.
