Swan Hill Rural City Council, "The Heart of the Murray" is a bustling provincial centre just three and a half hours from Melbourne and five and a half hours from Adelaide.The region is renowned for its world class produce, spectacular landscapes and close proximity to the Murray River. Our region runs adjacent to the Murray River for nearly 200 kilometres and encompasses 6,000 square kilometres and home to 20,000 people.

The Swan Hill Housing Summit and Economic Development Plan have identified a significant housing shortage in the region, indicating the need for at least 60 key worker accommodation beds in Robinvale. Additionally, key stakeholders have highlighted the limited availability of rental properties and suitable accommodation. In response to these challenges, and with state funding secured, Swan Hill Rural City Council is committed to alleviating housing pressures by delivering 10 new residential units at McCartney Court, Robinvale, Victoria, to help meet the growing demand for housing in the area.These civil construction works are essential to ensure the site is adequately prepared and equipped to support the residential development. The works under this contract primarily include, but are not limited to, the following:Phase 1:• Site establishment and temporary fencing erection• Preparation of a site management and quality control plan• Demolition works and preparation of site• Underground Stormwater Drainage works (excluding the house drain connections which will be installed by the builder)• Earthworks and filling• Temporary basin construction• Formation of new road pavements and wearing course• Concrete kerb and channel works• Concrete footpath works• External potable water reticulation 63mm dia PE main extension including the liaison with LMWater• Liaison with Councils nominated Builders to ensure that drainage and services (installed by the builders and/or subcontractors are coordinated)Phase 2:• Earthworks and formation to prepare the concrete driveway and access subgrade• Concrete driveway and pavement construction once the builder has completed installation of underground services
