Tender Details : Cessnock Council is calling Tenders for remedial stabilisation works, Great North Road Bucketty NSW

Design and construct.

The failure occurred in January 2025 during the significant rainfall event classified as the AGRN (Australian Government Reference Number) 1170 Event. The slope failure is located at the lower extent of the recently reconstructed embankment, within the lower section of the embankment batter constructed from site-won sand fill material to act as temporary platform supporting the construction of engineered fill above.

The remedial works will reinstate the lower slope using a combination of.

- a soil nails wall with shotcrete face anchored into the slope to support/underpin the first engineered lift, and

- a rock revetment placed on the remainder of the lower slope below the new soil nail wall.
